Discografia - Guns N' Roses

Guns N' Roses é uma banda de hard rock norte-americana formada em Los
Angeles, Califórnia em 1985. A banda, liderada pelo vocalista e
co-fundador Axl Rose, passou por várias mudanças de formação e
controvérsias desde a sua criação.



O Guns N' Roses lançou sete álbuns de estúdio, dois EPs, um álbum ao
vivo e três DVDs musicais ao longo da sua carreira. O álbum mais recente
da banda é Chinese Democracy, lançado em 2008 e o primeiro trabalho com
novas faixas desde o The Spaghetti Incident?, de 1993.



Suas canções de maior sucesso são "Welcome to the Jungle", "Paradise
City", "Don't Cry", "Sweet Child O' Mine", "Patience", "November Rain"
que alcançaram o top 10 da Billboard. Na sua fase nova destacam-se as
canções "Chinese Democracy"," Street Of Dreams ","This I Love" e
"Better", singles do álbum Chinese Democracy, e "Shackler's Revenge",
que saiu no jogo Rock Band 2.



A banda já vendeu mais de 100 milhões de cópias em todo o mundo, sendo
cerca de 43 milhões somente nos Estados Unidos. O seu álbum de estréia
em 1987, Appetite for Destruction vendeu cerca de 40 milhões de cópias
no mundo todo, 23 milhões apenas nos Estados Unidos, sendo certificado
23 vezes platina pela RIAA (Associação da Indústria de Gravação da
América).



O estilo musical, a presença em palco e a imagem de bad boy da banda
contribuíram para o sucesso do grupo durante uma nova era de dominação
do hard rock no final dos anos 1980 e início dos anos 1990. Enquanto o
glam metal liderava nas vendas de discos, tabelas de vídeos e rádio, os
Guns N' Roses ofereciam um som mais tradicional do rock, e conquistaram
muitos fãs, impressionados pela autenticidade entusiasmante.



A banda teve grande sucesso mundial entre 1988 e 1993, mas devido a
conflitos de personalidade entre os membros do grupo levou ao fim do
alinhamento original. Atualmente, Axl Rose e Dizzy Reed são os únicos
membros originais no alinhamento do Guns N' Roses, sendo o vocalista
desde 1985 e tecladista desde 1990, respectivamente.



Seu novo trabalho, Chinese Democracy foi lançado no dia 23 Novembro
(EUA) e 25 de novembro 2008 no Brasil e já vendeu (10 de junho de 2010)
cerca de 7 milhões de cópias em todo o mundo, atingindo a certificado de
platina nos EUA por chegar a marca de 1 milhão de cópias.
